The word kaleidoscope derives from the ancient Greek language and means: to see beautiful shapes. Specifically, the three words are: καλός kalós “beautiful”, εἶδος eidos “form, shape” and σκοπεῖν skopéin “to look, see, contemplate”.
Even - and especially - in times of crises we have to remind ourselves that there is so much beauty around us. Sometimes it's just to open our eyeas, hold on for a moment, take a deep breath and come to a halt in our everyday hustle and bustle and beauty will unfold directly in front of us.
It is this beauty that drives my motivation for the work I do. Life is so full of wonders and we should not forget how to see them.
